Dental Crowns

When a tooth is cracked, broken, chipped, or badly decayed, a dental crown may be the best restorative solution. A dental crown is used to protect and cover a damaged tooth to restore its functionality. Crowns can also be used to cover dental implants or to cover a tooth after root canal therapy.

Dr. Šarić at Smile Design provides beautiful porcelain crowns that can be an attractive cosmetic dentistry option, since they can produce a whiter, shapelier, and more balanced appearance. To craft crowns, we use iTero™ 3D digital impression technology. This is an advanced piece of equipment that eliminates the need for messy moulds and captures extremely accurate images in a remarkably comfortable patient experience.

Dental Crowns

If there is a gap in your smile left by a missing tooth, we may recommend that a dental bridge be placed. A missing tooth should be replaced as soon as possible to avoid issues like the overeruption of opposing teeth and drifting of adjacent teeth.

A dental bridge anchors an artificial tooth (a pontic) between two natural teeth covered by crowns (abutments). The bridge is bonded to the crowns on either side of the gap to protect the integrity of the bite and maintain a healthy, vibrant smile. At Smile Design, we use iTero™ 3D digital impression technology, in a process similar to that used for porcelain crowns, to fit patients for dental bridges.
